Fulton County

Fulton County is named after Robert Fulton of steamship and Erie Canal fame. Located in the foothills of the majestic Adirondack Mountains, the area is only 40 minutes from Albany and just a few hours from New York City, Montreal, and Boston.

Fulton County is also home to the oldest (constructed in 1772), continually functioning Colonial Courthouse in New York State and possibly in the nation. Any time of the year, you can seek out the numerous colonial landmarks and immerse yourself in our country’s history.
