Why we love our Cedar Ridge home built by Amedore.

There are so many things we love about our home.  From the cubbies in the mud room off the garage for our coats and shoes as we come in the house, to the large spacious rooms and foyer for easy welcoming of guests plus a first floor office with french doors to the updated powder room.  The family room has a gas fireplace with a handheld remote thermostat so you can set the temperature you want the room to reach, a great amenity for those cold winter days.  We entertain regularly whether for a couple or parties up to 50 people. The kitchen, with new appliances, is easy to cook in with plenty of room for guests to gather around to cookbooks being close by in the built in book case in the mud room yet out of the way so as not to contribute to clutter in the kitchen.

The composite deck is very low maintenance, no painting, no scrubbing just washing down with water and a power washer once or twice a year in less than a half hour.  The deck offers complete privacy with wonderful views of the woods with no chance of ever having homes built behind us.  It also is a good size for parties and guests can easily access the deck directly from the driveway without having to come thru the house but there is always the sliding door in the family room or door in the kitchen for access as well.

The upstairs master suite is large and inviting with plenty of room for a king size bed, dresser, chest and a comfortable chair for reading. The master bath offers an extra large jetted soaking tub, separate sinks with vanities so each person does not have to share counter space.  There is a toilet closet so two people can be in the bathroom with complete privacy.  And, of course, there is the supersized clothes closet and a large linen closet.  Down the hall is the second floor washer and dryer so no carrying laundry up and down stairs.  There are three additional bedrooms one that is ideal as a nursery, large closets in each room, a second large bathroom with linen closet and yet a third extra large linen or storage closet in the hall.

The finished basement has nine foot ceilings, a sliding door to a patio, large entertainment room, a full bathroom, another office that could be used as a bedroom, a separate area that could be used for exercise, two oversized closets and finally a large workshop for projects and storage of tools and other home necessities.

 Our grandchildren love the backyard for rolling down the hill in warm weather to sleigh riding in the winter.  Yet, there is plenty of room on the flat area for a swing set, jungle gym, trampoline and a sand box.  And of course the home is on a cul-de-sac so need to worry about thru traffic if your child runs into the road by accident.

And there is still more.  We are a little over one mile from the Bethlehem YMCA, Five Rivers and the Bethlehem High School.  The Bethlehem library is a little over two miles away and there are three large supermarkets, doctors’ offices and a pharmacy within an easy drive.  Two major hospitals are also within a short drive.  And the best, we have sidewalks so if you choose you can walk to the library or the four corners in Delmar.  The new bike path is also within a two mile walk or drive.  What more could anyone want!

So, with all these positive things about our home, why are we leaving?  To go to warmer climates and be closer to family who as they grew older have moved away for a variety of reasons.    So, we truly hope the new owners, whoever you are, love and enjoy this house as much as we have.
