Things we love about our house:

Every time I drive up to the house, I think it is both handsome and welcoming. Its clean lines, setting, and greenery make it ageless and classic.

The location has a great balance of privacy and a sense of community.

Every time the town sets off fireworks, we can watch them through our big center hall window—the best seat in the house!

We chose special windows for this house, a 6/9 paned window that is quite tall. I love all the light that pours in through the windows.

The home’s layout has worked very well, with ample rooms that flow smoothly from one space to another. My puppies have loved being able to lay by the windows and watch the world go by.

The office over the garage is perfect. While my children were little, they could do their homework in my office while I did mine, and when it was their bedtime, I was close by and could check on them easily.

The view from the upstairs hall is lovely. I have always kept a chair there to read and gaze out the center hall window. The large upstairs hallway became an impromptu play space for the children.

The three season porch has been a life saver. We use it for shaded and bug-free summer suppers, a sunny reading place on fall weekends, and a place to shed towels after swimming and snow gear after sledding.

The house has the most even cooling system I have ever experienced, and it goes to work quickly and quietly when you turn it on, and there are no chilly spots.

The morning sun lights the kitchen and the sunsets are lovely viewed from the front windows.

Things I love about my neighborhood:

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but I am only a three minute drive to almost everything I need on short notice—pharmacy, groceries, post office, bank, excellent restaurants, wine store, and gas station.

My neighbors are warm and welcoming, but never intrusive. They are respectful and take care of their property. Best of all, they are ready to lend a hand in all kinds of situations.

The neighborhood is maturing beautifully. The trees that line the roads are healthy and provide beautiful color.

The town plows the roads early in the morning so we can get to work, and we have rarely had any power outages.
