Our nationally recognized Coldwell Banker Prime Properties Corporate Relocation Services Department offers a wide array of departure and destination services to meet your company’s relocation needs. We have full-time relocation professionals who are specifically trained to provide you with relocation expertise and outstanding service. We can offer you a full range of relocation services whether you are moving one employee or several hundred within New York State or around the world.

  • Destination Services
    Personalized assistance will be provided with information about the new location for both homebuyers and renters. We will assign a Relocation Trained Agent who understands the importance of acquainting the transferee and family with the area’s customs, schools, cultural, and recreational amenities. A complimentary customized Relocation Packet will be provided along with computerized school and neighborhood reports. Individual and group area tours are also available. Emphasis is placed on finding the property that best suits the transferee and family needs in a timely manner. Special programs and services can be provided to families relocating from around the globe.
  • Pre-Marketing/Home Sale Assistance
    Our Relation Trained Agents specialize in marketing and selling transferee homes in a smooth and timely way. Our home marketing program provides for a Broker’s Market Analysis and a customized marketing plan for the property, leading to the sale and a seamless closing. This can be provided in conjunction with the transferee’s relocation management company.
  • Rental Assistance
    For individuals or families who require a short-term or permanent rental property, we can provide community information, computerized school and neighborhood reports, orientation tours, and introduction to available rental properties. These can be rented furnished, unfurnished or "turn-key" depending on the employee’s needs.
  • Temporary Living
    We can assist you with locating alternative housing options, such as short-term furnished apartments or extended stay hotels that are best suited to the temporary needs of the employee and their family.
  • Mortgage Assistance
    Through our relationships with Home Funding Finders locally ( A Licensed Mortgage Banker, New York State Banking Department) and Cendant/PHH Mortgage nationally, we can provide the transferee with a free, confidential mortgage consultation. This will include information on mortgage rates, different types of mortgages available, and a mortgage "Pre-Approval" letter which will strengthen their position in the home buying process.   • Moving Assistance
    We can assist in the selection of a reputable van line that is experienced in corporate relocation and help coordinate the move to ensure the timely and professional delivery of the transferee’s household goods.
  • International Services
    We can assist employees who are relocating internationally from providing area orientation, home finding, mortgage assistance, moving services, and other resources to help prepare them for life in a new country and community. Through our relationship with international service providers, we can arrange for candidate assessment, cross-cultural training, language training, settling-in services, and policy consulting.
  • Concierge Services
    We can assist you in developing or reviewing your current relocation policy, practices, and processes whether you relocate one or one hundred employees. In addition to our consulting capabilities, we are members of the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council which provides leadership, advocacy, education, information, and networking to global workforce mobility professionals.   • Group Move Assistance
    From planning to policy consultation to implementation, we can assist you in the relocation of any size group of employees from one location to another. We can provide individual counseling as well as group presentations and assist you in managing the entire move process including home sale, home finding, household goods shipment, mortgage financing, and cost analysis.
  • Spouse Employment Assistance
    Our program is designed to assist the relocating spouse/partners in locating employment in the Greater Capital Region of New York. We work with various agencies and employment consultants in addition to providing resource materials and forwarding resumes to suitable businesses in the region.
  • Q: How far in advance of my moving date should I begin looking for a home?
    A: If you are planning to purchase a home, it will usually take about 30-45 days from the time a property is identified to settlement. You may decide to find a home in one concentrated trip, or visit the area several times, depending on the amount of time you have before you need to be in the new location.
  • Q: What communities have the best schools?
    A: Most states do not 'rank' their school systems. This is because every family has different ideas about what constitutes a 'good' school system. There are numerous resources for current school district information and statistics. Coldwell Banker Prime Properties can provide you with a customized School Report. You should also plan to visit with school officials prior to making a final decision. Along with reviewing available data, a visit will help you determine which school system will best meet your children's needs.
  • Q: Should we wait until the school year ends to move?
    A: Although most initial reactions are to allow children to finish the school year (if possible), there can be benefits to a mid-year move. Moving during the school year will help your child become involved in the new community right away and give them instant access to new friends and activities. If your new neighborhood does not have children of similar ages or planned activities, your child may find it more difficult to connect during the summer months.
  • Q: How do I determine how much I can afford?
    A: Generally, you should qualify for monthly housing expense (the monthly payment for mortgage principal, interest, property taxes and property insurance) equal to 33% of your gross monthly income. The best way to know with confidence is by getting pre-approved (If the user clicks on this selection there will be a pop-up that directs to the HFF website. The client will provide that URL.)
  • Q: How will the cost of living differ from where I presently live?

  • Q: Do you work with only large companies and organizations?
    A: Even though we work with hundreds of companies and organizations to help relocate their employees, more than 80% of our business comes from companies that transfer less than 25 employees a year, or individuals that receive no help from a company but still need the assistance of a professional.
