Clifton Park is located approximately 12 miles north of Albany, New York, 7 miles northeast of Schenectady, New York and 10 miles south of Saratoga Springs, New York.

The public school district covers about 2/3 of Clifton Park is the Shenendehowa Central School District. In addition, the Niskayuna Central Schools together with the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District covers the remaining portions. All are highly regarded and award winning school districts.
The Shenendehowa School District has 8 Elementary Schools, 3 Middle Schools and 2 High Schools.

There are many retail shopping opportunities found in the Route 146 and Route 9 corridor for shopping such as Clifton Park Center which has recently expanded with many eateries, shops and boutiques.
