As a homeowner you will have Tax Benefits! Purchasing a home can provide valuable tax savings to home buyers. Mortgage interest. property tax, and other payments associated with the financing a home can apply to your tax deductions. They may decrease the amount of income tax you must pay to the federal government.

Another financial advantage to owning a home is that as you begin to pay off your mortgage loan, you build equity in your property. In other words, the value of your home can increase as your total mortgage amount decreases over time.

For those who rent, the tax savings of ownership go to the landlord, not to the tenants. Wouldn't you rather build equity for yourself every month instead of paying someone else and giving away "your" tax savings?

Cross Country Ski Lessons 2013
February 7, 14, 28; March 7, 14, 28
The Town of Clifton Park, in cooperation with the Shenendehowa Nordic Club, announces its Beginner Cross Country Ski Lessons program. Classes are offered as snow conditions allow from 6:30pm-8:00pm on the above dates at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. All ages and families are welcome. Pre-registration is required. Registration for the program is at the Office of Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs at Town Hall, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Class fee is $12 per person per session. Bring or rent your own cross country skis at a local ski shop.

Moonlight Ski 2013
Thursday February 21; Thursday March 21
Join us during our free Family Moonlight Cross Country Ski evening at the Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve on the above dates when snow conditions permit. Everyone is invited to participate and must bring their own ski equipment.

There will be a warm-up fire and the Shenendehowa Nordic Club will provide hot drinks and marshmallows during the event. Participants will meet at the preserve’s main parking lot on Riverview Road (at the Whipple Bridge) at 7:00 pm.
