IF YOU HAVE A PET, KEEP BOWLS AND LITTER CONTAINERS IN THE BASEMENT WHEN YOU ARE HAVING A SHOWING OR OPEN HOUSE. GIVE YOURSELF AN HOUR  PRIOR TO A SHOWING TO ORGANIZE AND PICK UP. ASK THE FAMILY TO HELP YOU OUT. SELLING IS A TEAM EFFORT!

TRUST THE REALTOR TO SELL THE HOUSE. IF YOU FOLLOW THE REALTOR AROUND, YOU INTIMIDATE THE BUYER. BUYERS WANT TO ENVISION THE HOME AS THEIR OWN. IN THEIR HEAD, THEY ARE PLACING FURNITURE. MAYBE THEY ARE THINKING ABOUT A FAMILY GATHERING OR A HOLIDAY. THEY WILL NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE OPENING CLOSETS OR THE PANTRY IF YOU ACCOMPANY THEM THROUGH YOUR HOME. REMOVE VALUABLES IF THAT IS WHAT IS MAKING  YOU NERVOUS!

MAKE SURE YOUR WALKWAY IS CLEAN, YOUR LAWN MOWED OR YOUR DRIVEWAY SHOVELED DEPENDING UPON WHERE YOU LIVE AND THE TIME OF YEAR. LIGHTS ON IS A VERY EXCELLENT IDEA. IT IS SO WELCOMING.
