Making your house sparkle

Check your roof and clean your gutters occasionally.  If you're doing the work yourself, please use extreme caution whenever climbing on your roof.  You can see if your roof has any loose shingles or weathered spots, examine the exterior of your chimney for cracks and  also the condition of your chimney cap.  If your roof needs repairs, you can get it done before the onset of winter.  Staying on top of these things may save you money down the road.  Another rooftop project is the cleaning of your gutters.  This will definitely help during heavy rain storms.  You will be keeping the water flowing freely and away from the house.  Some of these projects can be done inexpensively by someone else.  We had someone clean out our gutters for $65.  It was money well spent.
