Safety Homes

It's important to keep safety in mind even in your home.  Accidents can happen so quickly and without warning that you should always be prepared.

Fire related deaths in a home usually occur at night and these deaths are often caused by smoke inhalation and not the flames.  That's why it's so important that you install a smoke detector on every level of your house and outside of each bedroom.  Test them once a month and be sure to change the batteries at every daylight savings time change if the unit is not hardwired.  Remember the annoying beep that goes off when you burn something could save your life.

I knew someone whose house burned down because a squirrel got in the attic and chewed on a wire. You never know.
