Personal Background

Born and raised in Olean, NY, I moved to the Capital District in 1975.  I find this area a fabulous central location with easy access to Boston, NYC, the Adirondacks, and Montreal.  Certainly being close to Saratoga has made the summers a fun place to be.

I enjoyed years of being a stay at home mom while I raised 4 children.  During that time I was very involved in the school and community and did a great deal of volunteer work.  The children are now grown, and living near and far and I found a happy medium of working to help people with their real estate needs.  With first time home buyers I try to be the realtor that I would want working to help my children when purchasing a home.

Travel peeks my interest, when time permits, and I also enjoy spending time at Lake George where we own an incredible view (with a small condo) and a sailboat.  I am not a master sailor but do enjoy kayaking. 

I serve on the Board of Directors of Wiawaka, which is a historical property on the east side of Lake George that was established in 1903 as a retreat for textile women of the Capital District.  Although there are few textile workers today, we welcome the challenge to offer opportunities and programs to women of all walks of life.  Wiawaka is a special place and I encourage you to look at our website for more information -

I enjoy tennis and golf when I have time, and watching my grandchildren play lacrosse, soccer, football and basketball.  Sports are good!!!


Professional Background

I enjoy taking continuing education courses in real estate to stay current with all the changing aspects that affect the real estate industry.  Mold issues, buried oil tanks, radon, asbestos, green building, fair housing, new home sales, staging and environmental issues, are just a few that I have recently experienced.

Community Involvement

Volunteering has played a huge part in my life.  With four children, I was involved for 25 consecutive years with school organizations, from being President of the Glenville Nursery School, PTA Lifetime achiever, to team mother for a collegiate soccer team.  I have made myself available to help out where needed, spearheading major events in church, community and school, fundraising for families in crisis, and improving on existing projects.

Currently I serve as a Board member to Wiawaka, a non profit historical retreat for women on Lake George and am a member of the Charlton Garden Club,  Edison Club, First Reformed Church of Scotia

Professional Interests

I will preview properties that come on the market in the Capital District, so that I always stay "current" with the market values and can better guide my buyers and sellers.

I continue to further my computer technology skills to keep up with statistics, data, and social networking that helps me to better assist my clients.

I attend real estate seminars and conferences when I can to learn more about the changes in the market on a local level as well as nationally.
