Professional Background

For the past 25 years I have been immersed in the field of research and education. Specifically as a reading Specialist. While raising my family, I have had the wonderful opportunity to participate in federally funded grants in the educational field such as Reading First and Syracuse Universities reading department grant work.  

Personal Background

Brought up in Boston proper, I have lived on Nantucket, Marthas Vineyard. and in the Berkshires of Western Massachusettes. I finished my masters degree in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and taught in the Bucks county school systems also in PA. I currently reside in the finger lakes region outside of Syracuse N.Y.

Professional Interests

Currently, I am editing my second copy of "The Literacy Code" a resource for teachers and educators based on the research on how to teach reading and learn the code to the english language. I hope to have this amazing book published soon!

Personal Interests

As well as obtaining my Rel Estate license and continuing to teach in the central New York schools, I have been Immersed in raising my family here in Marcellus N.Y. I also can be found walking my dogs and learning horsemanship at the barn where I ride. I am certified with the Department of Conservation as a wildlife rehabilatator and continue to take classes in the field of animal consultation. 

Community Involvement

After teaching for 5 years for the Holy Family second grade first communion class, I have lent my talents as a stained glass artist, quilter and scrap booker to many interested in learning these crafts. I also continue to support the Central New York Cat coalition through my work as a foster for orphaned kittens,
