As a life-long resident of the Capital Region, there are definitely areas that I take for granted. For instance, when the holidays roll around, you'll find me driving through Colonie's Apple Blossom Lane. (Those folks know how to decorate!) When it's time to go for a walk, I'm all about Quail Hollow Estates in Colonie.
I started thinking, maybe I should use my knowledge of the area and share information about established neighborhoods throughout our area. Who knows, you may like what you read and decide it's time for a change!
First on my list - Quail Hollow Estates. What's not to love? Tucked between South Colonie's Sand Creek Middle School and Colonie Central High School, this 1980's development is a location paradise. Seconds from Wolf Road, there is not an amenity more than 10 minutes out of your reach - including the airport.
No worries, though. You won't give up privacy for convenience. The single family home neighborhood is lined with trees and sidewalks. Traffic is self-contained as the development is comprised of cul-de-sacs and quiet streets peppered with a mix of Colonials, Contemporaries, Ranches and Capes - no cookie cutter homes here.
As a Town of Colonie resident, you'll also enjoy access to the town's recycling/landfill facilities, the Colonie Town Park and Pool and the Colonie Town Golf Course.
Need another reason to move to Colonie? Colonie has been listed as the safest city in the United States; http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/stories/2009/11/23/daily15.html
Conveniently located, great schools, low taxes, Quail Hollow Estates is a homeowner's answer to the perfect place to call home.
