Fox’s Famous Prize Winning Chili
2 lbs lean ground beef, browned and drained
1 16 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 15 oz can pinto beans, undrained
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1 4 oz. can diced green chilies
1 med. Onion, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
1 Tbs. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. ground cumin
Grated Cheddar Cheese
Heat a small amount of oil olive in a large skillet. Add onions & garlic and cook to soften. Put in slow cooker. In the same skillet, brown and drain ground beef. Add to slow cooker with all other ingredients, except cheese. Mix well and cook on low for 8 hours. Divide among bowls and sprinkle each with grated cheese.
Please note: I always make 1 1/2 to 2 times this recipe. It tastes better the next day.
