So, it's hard to believe that summer is already on the down swing. Why is it that winter lasts forever, arrives much too early and usually outlasts its welcome leaving much to late. Summer on the other hand, never comes soon enough, departs much too quickly and more often than not leaves us wondering where it went so soon. Hard to believe that August is here, though it has been a pretty damp summer season, it is still a great time in the Northeast; sports fans and athletes can enjoy Saratoga thoroughbreds, Polo, trips to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame, jogging along the Hudson, bike riding on the myriad of bike trails throughout the region, or just enjoying a pleasant hike into the Adirondacks or a walk in the neighborhood.
This time of year is a panacea for the art enthusiasts the ability to enjoy free live professional theater in Washington Park, professional theatre within an hours drive to Berkshire Theater Festival, Barrington Stage, Shakespeare and Co., Williamstown, Mac Haydn Theatre, Theater Barn, Glimmerglass Opera, Capital Rep., and that merely begins to scratch the surface.
For those interested in the "finer" things, we've got museums from our own Albany Institute of History and Art, the NYS Museum, newly renovated Clark in Williamstown, and the list just goes on and on. Historic sites are no small order as we are the cradle of the American Revolution, French and Indian Wars, and so much American history the area seemingly teems with.
Above all, the Capital Region is a wonderful place to live... affordable, safe, friendly, only hours from all of the major hubs: New York City, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Washington DC. and yet plenty to do right here at home. So if you're looking to make a move, make the first move and give me a call....I'll make to process easy and as stress free as possible.
Whatever you're plans are as the summer winds, down... take advantage of the great weather and the fabulous area which we call home... go on outside and do something...today!
