While at 16 Valencia Lane, we have enjoyed many blessings. Some of these blessings are described here. Our proximity to Barney Road Park and the adjacent swimming pool, as well as the Locust Lane Park/swimming pool has been wonderful. Our family has spent hours playing on the well-maintained playground equipment found at both locations. We have spent ours during the summer in swimming lessons and enjoying the pool, especially on those hot, sunny summer days. The neighborhood offers several short and long walking/biking loops where our family has enjoyed many brief and extended outings together. In the winter, we have ice skated on the pond located next to Barney Road Park, row-boated an island in the middle of the pond, and done some fishing from a deck at the pond. There is a golf course across the street from the park, which is great for a quick game of golf or for the budding golf pro.
The school bus pickup right at our house has been ideal for the kids. At the same, time we are only a five minute drive away from Shenendehowa schools. We have been very please with the schools and teachers. Our children have received a quality education. The library and grocery stores are only a few minutes drive away.
We have enjoyed many relaxing dinners on our back deck where we enjoyed the sound of the birds and the view of the woods found in our neighbor's yard. Our tall oak trees provide just the right amount of shade in the summer time to keep us cooler in the summer. We have enjoyed watching wildlife over the years pass through our property, including deer, wild turkey, a fox or two. While the yard is big enough for the kids to play on the grass, the culdesac allows the kids to go for a short bike ride while kept in sight. The two car garage has extended the life of our cars by sheltering them from the cold winter air and moisture and shed provides a nice place to keep our yard maintenance equipment. Having the driveway and sidewalk on the south side of the yard, allows the sun to work its magic to keep it dry during the winter.
The house is set inside the middle of Clifton Knolls development, which provides some quite solitude. At the same time, it is equal distance from two outlets, one on Grooms Road and the other on Moe Road, that provide quick access to any destination. This is especially true for the morning commute. We have relatively easy access to Exit 8A on the Northway.
Our neighbor's give us the space to maintain our privacy while always greeting you with a smile. They have always been willing to lend a hand when we have gotten in a pinch.
