Our family lived very happily in this house for more than 20 years. We made many wonderful memories here – holiday celebrations, football parties, bringing our babies home from the hospital and watching them grow, playing fetch with our dogs in the backyard. Many cozy, quiet times, too.

If you came in the front door today, you walked right in to the kitchen, which is a different sort of layout. It worked great for us, and it will for you! Look out our kitchen window at the brick house with the front porch: that’s what this house used to look like. The owner before us expanded the kitchen out to the porch area, so there is a lot more space inside.

We loved this roomy kitchen – it was a gathering place for just our family every day, and a great place for entertaining when people came over.  Guests came in the front door and right into the food and fun. When you have company, it seems that all the action is in the kitchen anyway, and we happily welcomed friends and family here when they came over to see us.

On a daily basis, we always came in the side door after work and school, since the driveway is on that side of the house. It kept the mess (snow, rain, dirt, shoes) in the side cubby, and away from the kitchen and living room.

This a corner lot, but it was always very quiet here and the lot sets off the house beautifully. Fordham and Marlborough are not through streets – anyone who drives here lives here, and we keep an eye out for each other’s kids. Our kids played sports in the street, there was so little traffic. Lots of happy times in the backyard, too, with kids and pets. Privacy when you want it, company when you need it.
