Professional Background

I graduated from Adirondack Community College with an AAS in Business Management and Accounting, which has helped me greatly in managing my real estate business and assisting my clients as they analyze their sale or purchase.

I served in the United States Navy for over 20 years, often buying a home and then re-selling 3-4 years later upon my transfer to the next duty station.  I served mostly in administrative and personnel management capacities.  This tremendous career provided me with much helpful knowledge and experience as it relates to buying, selling, negotiating, financing and communicating.

I earned my certification as a Certified Buyer Representative and a Licensed Real Estate Associate Broker to better support and represent my real estate clients.  I have also completed all continuing education requirements, yet still attend occasional presentations to stay abreast of changes in the market, new business practices and changes in real estate laws.  Please be sure to work with an agent who has received extra buyer representation training - and can prove it.


Personal Background

    My 22 years in the United States Navy included a tour during which I served on a heavy cruiser, the USS Newport News (CA-148), which spent 7 months in the Vietnam Combat Zone and visited several Southeast Asia countries.  After completing my first tour of duty, I returned to Queensbury and completed my college degree.

    I married my wonderful wife, Darlene Ann Seeley, in 1971 and we have raised one fabulous son, Joseph, who is a successful, Internet Marketer, and he brought his dog named Foxy Mama, who is a real joy. 

    Darlene and I live in Queensbury, attend First Baptist Church of Glens Falls and have lots of family and friends in the local area.  For 19 years, we hosted an annual family reunion at our home, with 29 relatives attending the most recent one.

Community Involvement

Member First Baptist Church of Glens Falls; Past Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Contribute support to the "Open Door" food kitchen and "Community Action" food pantry.

Supervisor of Queensbury Men's "Over 30" Basketball League for over 16 years.

Member Glens Falls YMCA and the "Noon-time Basketball Association(NBA)" for over 30 years.



Personal Interests

    I am a sports enthusiast, whether it's playing golf, softball or basketball; pitching horseshoes or shooting pool, bowling, playing darts or watching baseball, football and occasionally golf on TV.  Although not a "star" athlete, I always play to win and love the spirit of honest competition.  Give me a call if you are looking for a golfing partner, horseshoe or bowling competition or to get on the basketball court!

    I also work part-time with the Queensbury Department of Parks & Recreation, supervising the men's "Over 30" basketball league year-around on the Queensbury School Campus.  We're always looking for a few more good men, so if you're a basketball fanatic and are "Over 30", contact the Queensbury Parks & Recreation Office at 518-761-8216 or online at www.Queensbury.net, and I'll see you on the court!

    My wife and I also love to travel and have visited Las Vegas, New Orleans, Palm Springs, Atlantic City, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Cape Cod, the Bahamas, Gatlinburg, Montreal and several resorts in Florida, including "The Villages" - a huge "over-55" active retirement community.  We have also vacationed several times at "Cypress Lakes" in the "Lakeland, Florida area" - and may one day spend our Winters there.  It is a very nice "Over 55" retirement community with many amenities, including golf, tennis, pickle ball, horseshoes, two pools, hot tub, shuffleboard and a fitness center.  The clubhouse also offers all sorts of card games, art & crafts, dance, yoga and Sunday services as well as concerts and plays, dinners and a restaurant/bar/dance area.
