Hamburger Month - Central NY - CB Prime Properties

Don't you just love biting into a juicy hamburger? The crunchy lettuce, the gooey cheese, the tender beef—everything just blends together so well. If this has you in the mood for a burger, then you're in luck. May is National Hamburger Month, and the very best way to celebrate is to go out for a burger. Our real estate agents have a few restaurants to recommend in the Central New York region.

  • LODED: 6393 Thompson Rd., Syracuse, NY 13206
As the name suggests, the burgers at LODED are loaded. This restaurant makes smash burgers, flat patties cooked until the outsides are crisp and delicious.

One favorite is the Bull-Go-Gi Smash, topped with cheese, pork belly, Korean BBQ sauce, onions, and garlic aioli. If you love cheese, you can't go wrong with the Cheesesteak Wit Wiz, an Angus beef burger topped with steak, peppers, and onion, and cheese sauce—Philadelphia-style.

LODED also has a great selection of shakes to pair with your burger, so make sure you bring your sweet tooth.

  • Ale 'n' Angus Pub: 238 Harrison St., Syracuse, NY 13202
If you want to enjoy your burgers in a pub setting, Ale 'n' Angus Pub is a great place to visit. It also happens to be near plenty of great Syracuse homes for sale.

Ale 'n' Angus Pub offers a new Burger of the Week every week. They also have some delicious burgers on their everyday menu. The Power Play is an Angus beef burger topped with shaved prime rib, American cheese, lettuce, and tomato. It was named Best Burger in NY State in 2012, 2013, and 2018. The Blooming Onion Burger is also mouthwatering.

  • The Hops Spot: 116 Walton St., Syracuse, NY 13202
The Hops Spot is a craft burger and beer bar with a fun, welcoming atmosphere. They always have the big game on TV. On the menu, you'll find a great selection of burgers made with grass-fed beef. You can substitute a meatless Beyond Beef burger if desired.

For something unique, try the 3 Degrees of Kevin Bacon. It's a burger topped with crispy pork belly, bacon aioli, and bacon bourbon jam. The Sweet Heat, topped with hot pepper relish and spicy ranch, is also incredible.

  • Modern Malt: 325 S. Clinton St., Syracuse, NY 13202
Not all malt shops are old-fashioned! Modern Malt brings the malt shop concept into the 21st century with creative dishes, including burgers. You place your order at the counter, then enjoy it on the open-air patio.

The Big Smoke Burger is a must-try. It's topped with a generous portion of smoked gouda, fig jam, onion frizzles, and chipotle aioli. If you're in the mood for something sweeter, try the Hawaii 5-0, topped with grilled pineapple, General Tso's sauce, and Swiss cheese.

  • The Gem Diner: 832 Spencer St., Syracuse, NY 13204
The Gem Diner has been serving the Syracuse area since the 1950s, and their food still receives rave reviews. For National Burger Month, any half-pound burgers are a great choice. The Reuben Burger is popular. So is the Philly Burger. It's totally worth adding some sweet potato fries to your order too.

The Gem Diner is a great place to go with kids. They have a dedicated kids' menu with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and other popular dishes.

Hopefully, you have a wonderful time celebrating National Burger Month at one of these top restaurants. If you're looking for a home in the area, feel free to contact us. Our friendly agents would love to help you find the perfect house to call home.
