Where do you live? I live in Clifton Park, New York.  I own a home here and I sell real estate here. I would love to tell you a little bit about my town just in case you are thinking of moving to this lovely place.

Clifton Park was the last town created in Saratoga County in 1828! It began as "Clifton" and then in 1829, it earned its final name of "Clifton Park." Last count (2008), there were close to 38,000 people residing in this pretty area which consists of 50.2 miles. We are a diverse age group...our median age is 38 and we have 27% under the age of 20 and 12% over the age of 65.

In the town of Clifton Park, the median household income is $82,850. and the median income for a family is a bit over $98,000. We have over 14,300 housing units and more being built every day.

Two major roadways pass through our town - The Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) and US Route 9.  Another busy road is Route 146 which takes you east and west and then finally turns south into Schenectady County. Moe Road gains you access to our fabulous Library and off of Moe Road is the entrance to the Shenendehowa Campus which houses the high school, middle schools and some of the elementary schools.

What do people do for fun in Clifton Park? It seems this town is always reinventing itself. There are always new restaurants, new shops and new fitness centers but we never seem to lose sight of what is important - community!Fireworks on the 4th of July at the Commons; Babe Ruth World Series; Clifton Park International Soccer Classic; Winterfest; our Senior Citizen Center; volunteer fire and ambulance services and many places to play golf, bike, hike, ice skate, pick apples, visit fresh vegetable and fruit stands or walk your dog. We have town parks, town pools and town summer programs.

Clifton Park has many places of worship, many places to dine and plenty of grocery stores. Fast food seems to be quick to find and our movie theater is under construction and hopefully opening very soon! Our anchor stores at the Clifton Park Center are J.C. Penney and Boscovs but you can also find Marshalls and lots of little stores.

The Shenendehowa Central School main campus covers about 230 acres on Route 146. We have the largest school district in Saratoga County. There are also 4 off campus elementary schools in addition to the 4 on the main campus. Shen is an award-winning school district with fabulous faculty and championship sports teams

Clifton Park is a quick commute to Albany (park and ride to work is available for some residents) and Saratoga Springs. The Albany Airport is only about 12 to 15 minutes away. Lots of trees and green space but so many conveniences for you! I can't think of a nicer place to call "home."

I hope you will consider Clifton Park if you are moving to the Capital Region. Please feel free to give me a call or send me an email and I wil be glad to give you a tour. I think you will be impressed and pleased by what you see!
