Can you create "scent" appeal?

What is one of the first things a buyer notices when entering a home?  If you said "scent", you'd be correct!

There are many recommendations out there for staging your home but remember to keep in mind it must smell as good.   Can you stage a smell.....of course you  Scented candles especially lemon or citrus scented give an energizing effect.   A light floral fragrance can put people in a pleasant mood but don't over emphasize and never leave lit candles when you are not at home.

Take out your trash.  You can even run lemon or oranges in your garbage disposal.

If flowers and fruit don't do it for you, how about vanilla or cinnamon?  The smell of baking can entice some buyers.....who doesn't like fresh baked bread or cookies......

Don't forget to take care of the basement too.....always have a dehumidifier.  Basements are in the ground and damp by nature so elminiate as much moisture as possible.

These are just a few hints to get you thinking about making your home smell as good as it looks.
