7 Ramsey Place is a solidly built, bright and warm house that has been home to me for over 15 years.  I particularly enjoy sitting in the living room on sunny mornings, and during nicer weather I enjoy morning coffee on the front porch.  Ramsey Place is a fairly quiet street, but is a stone’s throw from commercial activity on New Scotland Ave, so it doesn’t take long to get to a number of restaurants, the library, or even the hospital.  Being close to a bus line is a definite plus too.  And as commutes go, mine (to a downtown office) could not be easier.  The proximity of the houses to each other allows residents to get to know one another, and it’s particularly nice to see how well the children in the neighborhood play together.

Ramsey Place is in the midst of a very walkable part of the city, which I have also enjoyed over the years, in all kinds of weather!  In the cold months the house heats up very quickly, thanks to the trusty radiators.  The office adjacent to the dining room is a great space for doing personal correspondence, or as a staging area for parties or holiday gift wrapping.  The kitchen is large and easy to move around in. The upstairs bedrooms are well placed, one from the other, and all provide a good night’s sleep!  The attic and basement provide ample storage opportunities, which allows this owner to enjoy a clutter-free living space! 

Exterior features include a wonderful front hedge, and large tree in the back yard for welcome summertime shade.  I have also planted a lilac bush in back, in addition to color-popping Black-Eyed Susan’s out front.  I might also add that the flat and deep back yard is a great play space for children, while watchful caregivers can observe from the large deck while enjoying a refreshment.
